Courtesy Posting: URGENT!!! A4205076 3 year old, Red, male Chow Chow This handsome purebred looking young chow will soon be at risk to be euthanized at the Maricopa West shelter in Phoenix. Found a stray, he was originally walked on a leash. When he froze and stared, likely in fear, they used a snare/catch pole on him and tore up his mouth causing him his mouth to bleed significantly, as well as his nose. The poor dog has been given no medical treatment as of earlier today, they said the bleeding stopped but he is likely in significant pain and this could get infected. He will be due out on 1/20 and is expected to be Rescue only and considered very urgent at this time. Therefore, we are in desperate need of a chow experienced rescue to step up to save this dog, and also in need of a good foster or foster to adopt home (preferably one that is local or close enough that we can pair with a rescue).
