About Chiquita (& Nena)

Chiquita and Nena are a loving pair of girls that are looking for their forever home together! Chiquita is a 7 year old Lhasa Apso mix, she weighs 19 pounds and is full grown. Chiquita has received a dental cleaning and had 17 extractions as well as a cherry eye repair while here with us. Nena is a 2 year old Maltese mix, she weighs 9.5 pounds and is full grown as well. They are a shy pair that take a little time to warm up to new people. They have been good with men and women. The girls were found together as strays and did not like to be separated, when ever the other is missing they get very stressed out. Nena is the more outgoing of the two and loves to bring the party. Nena is a goofy girl that loves to scout out the area. Chiquita prefers to stay back and observe, once she gets comfortable she loves to get in the action too. Chiquita's weakness is butt scratches, they are her favorite! Both girls are very food motivated. They will need a patient home that will give them time to adjust and learn the rules of the home. Chiquita and Nena have done well around other small dogs though they might prefer to be the two Golden Girls of the house. They have never been around children that we know of, but may do well with older gentle children that let them warm up to them. Please bring along the whole family to meet with them, including any dogs living in the home. They are hypoallergenic and will require regular grooming. Both girls are spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, licensed, and vet checked. Their adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit.
