About Menelaus

Menelaus is a wonderful dog who would do best as an only pet with a fenced yard and older kids. He does love kids, but does jump and when he is excited he will knock little ones over. When he came to live with me I was told that he would probably be ok with cats, but after three years I have made no progress and I need to be able to bring the cat out of the basement. I am able to introduce him to other dogs and with a little time he is ok with them. He loves greeting them through a chain link fence and shows no aggression there. Currently he is on Anxiety medication to help him out and it makes a huge difference with how he handles new situations as will as the separation anxiety. He is very smart and picks up new commands quickly. He will come to his new home with food, treats and other assundry items. I will need to have a home visit before I approve any potential adopter.
