About Gigi

Adoption Fee: $395
Dachshund / Cocker Spaniel
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Gigi is a 2.5(ish) year old little mutt. We are not too sure what breeds she is, but we do know that she is absolutely adorable. She is 20lbs of pure joy and cuteness with the goofiest little smile where her bottom teeth stick out. She does shed so would not be a good match for a family with allergies. Gigi was dumped at a shelter just before giving birth to 7 babies. We weren't lucky enough to get her into safe home before her puppies were born, but she was moved quickly with all babies into a loving foster home. Unfortunately at a week of age the pups started developing issues and within a couple days we had lost them all. The vet determined there had been birth defects and nothing that could have been done...most likely inbreeding. We have given Gigi some time to recover emotionally and physically from the traumatic experience, but she is now 100% ready to find her forever family and she so, so deserves it. Gigi's foster says she is just the best dog ever. She is one of those dogs who is happy no matter what she is doing. She could play endlessly for hours and have tons of energy, but she is also 100% happy with just hanging out and snuggling. She is a perfect mixture of high and low energy. She gets along great with cats - loves to play with them, and is being fostered on a farm where she loves to play with the goats and chickens too. She is just a playful girl. Her foster mom has two large breed puppies at her home and she does great with them as well, we believe they have helped her heal from the loss of her own puppies. Gig loves kids and seems to be house trained. She is smart, loving, goofy, happy, and just absolutely amazing...oh and she has hops for being a long little dog.
