Bentley is fostered in Tampa, FL (Hillsborough County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Bentley is a happy, well-adjusted Australian cattle dog mix puppy, his foster suspects perhaps with Berner, whose medical records say he was born 9/27/18. He is 35 lbs and seems to have lots of growing into himself to do, so we anticipate he will be a large adult. Bentley LOVES to play with toys, and sometimes he forgets that socks are not toys, but he is easily satisfied when the sock is replaced for a real tug. He gets along great with other dogs, cats, and even chickens (he watches them, but shows no interest in chasing or herding them). Bentley crates very well for a young puppy. He is independent enough to be happy to keeping himself busy with a rope toy or chew, but he loves attention from people and enjoys romping with his foster's two dogs. Bentley and his foster family are working on potty training, and he's doing very well so far. Like all puppies his age, he should be taken out midday so as not to be left alone for more than 4-5 hours straight. Bentley is very eager to please, and seems to enjoy learning new commands like sit, crate, down, and some boundary training. Bentley is up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, and microchipped. He will go home on a neuter contract - once proof of neuter is submitted within the specified timeframe, $50 of his adoption donation can be refunded.
