About BOZ

Adoption Fee: $150
Lab / Plott
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

BOZ was rescued along with his litter mates and mother, after they were abandoned in a rural farming community in western NC. dob: Feb 9, 2014 Boz was adopted by a family of 4 when he was 4mo. To Mom and Dad's surprise, along comes child #3, ~7mos later. Boz loved being a part of the family. Dad was the main Boz caretaker, and took over the reigns in obedience training the basics(sit, down, stay, no, give paw, etc) as he was gone from home for 12hrs(included 2way commute to work) M)F, which left little time for Boz to get in any real exercise(they had a small backyard which he shared with 2 boys and a toddler). HELLO! Labs have energy to spare..especially when they are mere pups)young adults. Well, Mom decided she was too consumed in being a mother to her 3 boys that she felt it was best if Boz 'went away'. So, heartbroken Dad contacted Howlin4Spirit to see if we had room to take him back in to our care. BUT, OF COURSE! BOZ is an absolute delight!! HOUSEBROKEN. RIDES WELL. WALKS WELL ON-LEASH. Gets along with all gentle, well-socialized dogs of all genders and breeds. NOT a confrontational but will not back down if sincerely challenged. He would make an EXCELLENT COMPANION for an avid hiker/runner/jogger who has LAB-experience and understands their need to run and be at one with Mother Nature. LOVES TO RUN FAST and HARD! So, REQUIRES a decent-sized 5' fenced-in area(NOT a dog lot nor kennel). OR, a stay-at-home person he can go out and exercise with then come inside and chill. LOVES to snuggle up to his person. Dog bed, couch or beside you in bed...that's where BOZ wants to be. LOVES his person. LOVES the outdoors. LOVES being alive. WESTERN NC INQUIRIES ONLY! MUST BE 25y or older...no exceptions! Adoption fee: $125(ONLY to the RIGHT person who matches BOZ's needs). H4S will be happy to send you more pix of Boz in action, upon request!
