About Molly

Woo woo! (That's hello in my native malamute tongue! ) My name is Molly. I am a beautiful M'Loot Alaskan Malamute. I'm an older girl. I'm around 10 years old and although I have some arthritis setting in, I'm still as active as a 6 year old! My foster mom has me on this really tasty stuff for my joints and immune system. It tastes like liver! YUMMY! I'm a bit overweight. The doctor weighed me and I weighed 129 pounds. I really should shed a good 20 pounds. We're working on it with daily walks and green beans. I wasn't thrilled at first with my diet but since I'm a foodie I like it now! I'm super good natured. I LOVE everyone I meet. I'm good with kids but since I'm older I like older calm kids. I'm a very sensitive girl and we don't really know my past other than my last home was with someone that didn't care for me like I needed. I only lived with him for a year. I do well with other dogs but I do like older calmer dogs like myself. Young in your face dogs I'm just not all about. They are too much for me! I do well with smaller animals like cats but since I'm a malamute caution should always be taken. Small animal prey drives are typical with my breed. I did really good in the home of the super nice lady that rescued me and helped get me into rescue. She had lots of kitties. I'm not super playful but I do enjoy the occasional toy to rip up. I'm EXCELLENT in the car; I adore trips! I LOVE walks too! I walk excellent on the leash. I know commands too like sit, lay down, stay and shake a paw. I'm spayed, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and on heartworm prevention. I've also been treated for any possible internal parasites. I have had a geriatric blood profile completed to be sure I'm healthy and all my organs are working good! Oh, and be ready to have a big fluff ball wanting to cuddle with you! Because I love nothing more than to cuddle and follow my people all around the house like a shadow! So, if you want an amazing, lovable girl look NO further! ! I'm right here!
