About Hannah-PENDING

Tibetan Terrier / Havanese
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hannah is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a big kiss. Once this gorgeous girl gets a sudsy bath and grooming...she'll absolutely be one of the most beautiful pups around. At 9 - 12 months old and about 11 lbs, Hannah is every bit the very happy and silly girl. She's fun and active....but at the same time she is a very well-intentioned girl who wants to give the best of herself. If given clear guidance and positive reinforcement, Hannah will always do her very best to comply. Hannah's foster mom had the following to say about this special girl: Hannah was relinquished to me 6 or so months ago because her family was moving. I instantly fell in love with her beauty, extremely friendly personality and how well she did with my dogs and a very grumpy kitty. I made the decision at that time to adopt Hannah. I now find, sadly, that I can't give her the time that she deserves...I love her enough to give her the opportunity for a family that is present (I just got a new and very demanding job). Hannah is very very friendly and SO loving. She can be initially just a bit timid, but give her a second and she just want to love and be loved (perfect lap dog and bed snuggler). Hannah is completely house trained and very respectful of her home. The very greatest thing about Hannah is how much she loves her people. She loves to be around them and receive positive attention (which she returns a thousand times over). She's one of the kindest dogs I've ever fostered. It's even been suggested by a doctor friend that we think about her being a hospital therapy dog..she's that engaging and loving! At this early point in her life, Hannah is searching for the loving and committed family she has never before found. In spite of the lack of consistency in her life, Hannah has a positive and very endearing attitude as if she knows a forever home is waiting just around the corner. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Hannah to a family who expresses their devotion for her with love, training, nurturing and respect. We feel strongly that Hannah attends positive reinforcement group obedience classes to to teach her the skills to be a pleasant and well-behaved dog out in the world. Our experience tells us that a dog that is given this training opportunity has far greater lifelong success. It is for this reason that we won't consider adopting Hannah out to a family that won't participate in these classes. Farfel's is very happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force-free trainers in your area. We'd like Hannah to find her place with either dog-crazy retirees who desire a fuzzy best friend in their lives or a younger family that works part-time or from the home. Hannah would be overjoyed with time-spent and accompanying her family everywhere a super-smart, engaging and well-behaved dog is welcome. Hannah is a very portable size and can easily be a take-along companion. Hannah would love nothing more than long walks (or even a hike would speak to Hannah's fun-loving and engaging nature), trips to the store (she's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Hannah is young enough that she can be introduced to new situations and if there is patience and gentle guidance, she can succeed. At the end of the day for Hannah, there is nothing better than a welcoming lap. She'll snuggle up and show all the love that's inside of her. She's also independent enough that she can busy herself while her favorite people are involved with other things. We've requested that Hannah be spayed prior to her arrival in Boulder. We're not optimistic that this will occur. If it doesn't, Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs for Hannah's spay and microchip following her arrival in Colorado if one of our rescue vets is used. Hannah appears to be either a non-shedding or lightly shedding dog... it's difficult to tell for certain until her sad coat grows out. Hannah will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths/grooming along with great nutrition. (A daily salmon oil supplement is a great choice for lifelong coat care and longevity). This regimen will keep Hannah's stunning coat cottony-soft, very healthy and matt-free. Hannah will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 1/19/19. If interested in this very cuddly, super-sweet and loving best friend, please fill out our application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. PLEASE NOTE: If you're truly interested in adopting Hannah, please be sure to submit our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
