About Trudy

Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

4 months old Female Red Heeler mix 18lbs & growing! Hi there! My Safe Haven name is Trudy, although I go by Ruby here in my foster home. I am a very happy high energy girl who is looking for my best friend, my forever home, my perfect bipedal pal and most importantly, loving giver of the toys and treats! Hehe A little bit about me, I found myself lost and alone in Tennessee. Instead of keeping me in a high-kill shelter, some great people took very good care of me and brought me here to Illinois to live with my foster family. It's crazy how everything lined up just right for me to find the perfect place. I love playing with my 4 yr old human friend and my foster brothers and sister pups, especially running through the snow! I love playing with my toys and enjoy chasing the cats around. I am crate trained and I am doing well with my housebreaking, about 80% of the time I use the yard, 15% on the puppy pads and 5% I'm playing too hard to remember to ask to go outside. I'm getting better every day! I've picked up on the rules here pretty quickly and I absolutely love living in a house with a family. Cuddles and belly rubs are a top priority for me! My foster mom says I am a crazy puppy, something about springs on my feet, but she also says that I am very smart and sweet and that l will make a great family dog. She also said that I have super soft fur and some other nice things but I lost focus because the cat ran by... and ha, she's quick! If you think you have a perfect place for me in your heart and home, please fill out an application and set up a meet with me! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
