About URGENT - TEDDY

A5201229 Teddy is a 2-year-old perfectly healthy 10lb terrier who was returned by his adopters on January 9th with reported bite incidents, hence he is now RESCUE ONLY and requires an indemnity waiver. Teddy was originally impounded on July 17th as a stray at the Lancaster shelter. He was transferred to Agoura, where he was adopted in August. For the sake of complete information, Teddy's last family reported he bit when he was first taken home, which we've seen can happen, as being at a shelter is nerve-wrecking! While Teddy loved his family, he was described as 'unpredictable' and doesn't like to be told no (who does!!). He had reportedly nipped while in someone's lap. Long story short, his new family gave up on this young man and he finds himself back in the shelter in a whole lot of trouble :( Teddy has not shown any of his undesirable behavior while at the shelter. The former owner attempted to demonstrate his behavior when told no, and Teddy was non-reactive. He behaved well during his re-intake exam and seems happy to spend time with the kennel attendant. At only 2 1/2 years old, we think Teddy has great potential to be the perfect loving pet we know he can be, with the RIGHT seasoned dog parent. He just needs a chance and a patient heart!
