About Sid, Adopted

Boxer
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

'After many months of recovery from being left to starve followed by surgery to repair a ruptured ACL, Sid the Kid is ready for his furever home! What a journey it has been for this sweet boy. He has come SO far in his foster home and has become the silly, goofy, happy boxer that he should be. He is still selective about his dog friends, and really seems to like the little dogs best. He does live with another big dog that is calm, not reactive and doesn't compete for attention, so depending on the other dog, he may just need time and slow intros. He does not tolerate other dogs running up to him first and seems to really not like long nosed, fluffy haired dogs. He makes sure that no cats come into the yard, so probably no cats either. Sid is just now 2 years old and can be too active for the small kids. He would do best in a home where there aren't a lot of people coming and going all the time because he does have some stranger danger. Once he knows you, he's your best friend though. He's not going to be a dog park dog and will require some training to be able to go on walks. He LOVES to run in the yard and he loves his toys, but most of all he loves to climb in your lap and wrestle. He is also VERY treat motivated. He'll do anything for a cookie. He is very well house and crated trained and just needs a home that understands boxers and their quirkiness. He would not be good in an apartment or a busy neighborhood where there are a lot of people around. Boxer experience preferred.'
