I am a 3 year old Basset Beagle mix and am on the search for a home to call my own. I was found as a stray and lived as an outside dog for a few months before coming to BROOD and my new foster family. It didn't take me long at all though to remember my indoor manners and learn the routine here. I am house trained and crate trained as well. I don't particularly like loud noises but my foster family is working with me to learn that sounds are nothing to be afraid of. I'm a quiet guy without much to say other than whimpers of excitement when I see my family or getting a treat. I have a lot of young dog energy so a home with a fence or frequent trips to a dog park would be ideal. My foster mom said that the dog park is where I really live up to my name. If my nose isn't to the ground sniffing the wonderful smells, I'm speeding off with the other dogs for racing games. I haven't met a dog yet that I didn't like and even get along great with the cats in my foster home. I can keep myself entertained for hours with a good rope toy and I sometimes like to steal the cats toys too, they don't seem to mind. It can take a little time for me to warm up to new people and new places but once I feel comfortable, I am very playful and loving, especially with children. I'd be a great dog for apartment living too as I am not very big, quiet, laid back and well behaved. So please contact BROOD today!!! I'd love to meet you! My adoption fee is $250. **Only BROOD approved adopters can meet a dog. The adoption application is on the BROOD website. We require a home visit and a veterinary reference. The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the record. ***BROOD's adoption fees are determined based on age of the dog 1/12/2019
