About Yogi

Hey there, Boo Boo, it's me, Yogi! When my owners had to leave the country, I found myself back with Augusta Dog Adoptions through no fault of my own. I am really hoping I can find a new forever home in time to have a nice Valentine's Day dinner with my new family. You bring the pic-a-nic basket, and I'll be happy to help you with the heavy burden of leftovers. I'm smarter than the average dog, but I can definitely tell I'm getting older. I am mostly blind but I am able to see some shadows. I often find myself bumping into things in the house and often can't find a treat even if it's right in front of me. In spite of my age, I love to go for walkies and I'm really hoping to find a sweet, quiet, forever home with someone who will give me time to transition and get comfortable. I am hoping to find a home with calm, lazy dogs and no young children. It's nothing against them, I'm just a little defensive now that my senses are starting to go. When other dogs are hyper or playful, they make me nervous and defensive because I have a hard time smelling them and seeing them. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
