In February 2017, we were notified that there were puppies living on their own in a wash. After 3 days of digging under a huge pile of brush and digging into their underground tunnels, we pulled 5 puppies out. There were about 4 to 5 weeks old at that time. Breed mix is unknown, possible Shep/Vizsla mix? Sarge has been adopted a returned at no fault of his own. We have learned that he can become possessive of his human (usually female) and that he will do best in a home with a yard (no apartments) and a home where there is someone home most of the time and he has a playmate. If left alone in a crate, he will find a way to escape. He doesn't escape here at the rescue where he has friends. Sarge has this cute 'smile' he does when he gets excited, adopter must realize this smile and is not a snarl. He does good with children and other dogs. He has not been cat tested. He will need a yard that is secure with a fence. He will need some time to adjust to new surroundiings but if you have the patience and love to give him, you will not regret it. He is an amazing boy. His last adopters were heart broken to return him but living in an apartment and both being gone the same hours all day was not a good fit for Sarge. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Contact us for more information. Call, text or email is fine. Quicker response usually with text or email.
