About Rico

Date into Rescue: 11/27/2018 Reason for being in rescue: Rico was found as a stray in NC and landed at the local animal shelter. CPR pulled him from the local shelter. Special Needs: none noted What kind of home would be best for me: All Rico wants is a home with a lap. He would really love a family where someone is home all day and he can snuggle as much as he wants. Rico is fine with other dogs, but doesn't require a home with another dog. What is my personality like: Don't let the estimated age fool you, Rico still has so much life left to give! He loves to play, and especially loves to chase tennis balls. When first meeting him, he immediately jumps in your lap to give you kisses and will even nuzzle his head on your arm. Rico walks great on a leash and enjoys going for walks. So far he has gotten along well with all of the dogs he has met and has a sweet and gentle temperament. It's incredibly hard not to fall in love with this sweet boy! How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly - Rico loves people! Tips and Tidbits: Rico's 'stray days' are over with and he is ready for his next chapter in life! House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
