About Loki

Adoption Fee: $499
Bernese Mountain Dog / Poodle
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Date into Rescue: 12/13/2018 Reason for being in rescue: Breeder release What kind of home would be best for me: We are seeking a home with an experienced dog owner and someone who is home more than they're away, and very loving and patient. What is my personality like: Loki is an intense dog, he is very energetic, but until he warms up to you, it is very difficult to do anything with him. he likes to give hugs once he's comfortable with you, and he is a fence jumper. He isn't very good on a leash yet, but that is something we are working on. He seems to be curious, but until he warms up, he won't be willing to do anything about it. How do I act when I first meet new people: Cautious at first, but warms up gradually. Tips and Tidbits: Do not leave this boy unattended in a yard, he will scale a six foot fence with little to no problem. He should be on a harness lead at all times outside. When crating him, put no towels or blankets in there with him, as he will eat them. It takes a little encouragement to get him into his crate. He doesn't mind cats or other dogs, but use caution when introducing him to a new friend, as just like people, dogs can behave differently to different new things. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
