About Princess Buttercup

Princess Buttercup was named after the character in the Princess Bride movie...her foster tells us that they have matching green eyes! This kitty was originally named Cleo by her first family, but they decided they didn't want her anymore when they had a baby. She doesn't respond to the name Cleo, but she DOES respond to Princess Buttercup, so that's her new name. If you are looking for a kitty who doesn't need a whole lot of attention, but will still make a good companion, this may be your girl. At 3 years old, she is a healthy, clean adult kitty who loves being part of a home, but she is definitely a one- or two- person only kitty. She likes to sit in the window and observe everything going on around her. She's happy to be petted by people she knows and trusts, but isn't a fan of being picked up. She'll let you do it, but will hiss and let you know she's not happy! She hides from kids and strangers to her environment, so will do better in a mellow, adult-only home. She will want to sleep with you at night, and be around you when you are home. zShe lives with another cat and a dog in her current foster home, and is fine with them both. She is spayed, microchipped and current on her FVRCP vaccine.
