About Eliza

Pit Bull / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

***FOSTER NEEDED*** Meet Eliza. She arrived at Arlington Animal Services Nov 19, 2018 after being tethered out and very neglected. She was rescued and transported to the vet where she has been living and getting the medical attention she so desperately needed. She arrived emaciated w/ a body score of 1 (weighing just 28.4 lbs), she had 2 severely infected pressure sores, ear infections, fleas, some bare spots in her coat. She was friendly, even in the condition she was in. She is responding well to attention, treatment, care. She enjoys interaction with humans, was even fine around a couple of young (4yrs & 7yrs old) children, although her high energy may be too much for very young, smaller children. She may do better w/ teenagers and adults. Training (sit, etc) is going slow as she is so excited for any attention she receives. We would love to find her a foster home without other dogs or with an experienced family who can crate and rotate, as she still needs time to decompress and heal. If you might be interested in giving Eliza a warm bed to sleep in at night, please fill out a foster application on our website at www.bullluvablepaws.org.
