About Peanut

Peanut is a unique 4 year old Min Pin/ Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home. She weighs about 8 pounds and is full grown. Peanut is very sweet but she will take a lot of time to warm up to new people. She has slowly come around to staff here at the shelter and has gravitated towards more men then women. Peanut will chose her person, and that person will need to be willing to let her warm up to them on her own time. She does not trust easily but when she finally comes out of her shell she is a complete love bug! Peanut will give endless kisses and prefers to be held by her favorite people rather than walk on the ground next to them. She is very intelligent and is house broken, kennel trained, and also knows how to use a doggy door. In her previous home, Peanut was litter box trained too! She has done well with other dogs her size but prefers dogs that let her have her own space and have a calm personality. Peanut loves blankets and will require a home that will provide her with endless blankets that she can hide under. She would thrive in a home where her person was home more often than not or able to get her out of the house and take her with them when they go out. Peanut will take time, patience and tons of love to adjust in a new home but the loyal companion she will make will be well worth the journey. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. Her adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $160. Come to our location at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tues-Sunday 11am to 6pm.
