About Frederik

Adoption Fee: $175
German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Frederik is a handsome sable shepherd. He is a little underweight so we are working on that. He came in with Frieda. He was given to someone on the 29th of December and that person turned out to be a pet flipper. He and Frieda were found astray in the cold on 1 January and the original owner was located. They were surrendered to rescue and are getting the care needed to recover. Frederik is underweight but we will get that fixed up. He is cautious and shy with new dogs but not aggressive. He seems gentle with children and very curious about cats so with time, he would likely be good with them with time, training, and exposure. Frederik does have hip dysplasia and likely genetic. He is a sweet, tall, and slender fella deserving of a lifelong home. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intake Date: 2 Jan 19 ---------------------- Breed: Shepherd ---------------------- Age: 4 yrs/DOB 3 Aug 2014---------------------- Weight: 60 lbs ---------------------- Status: Owner Surrender---------------------- Compatible with: children, dogs---------------------- Suitable for: home with fenced yard ---------------------- Medical/Behavioral Needs: Underweight, Genetic hip issue, dysplasia --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org.
