About Tammany

Hi everyone, My name is Tammany and I am still looking for my forever home!! I am a 12 week old Female Lab Mix! When I got to NJ I had a family waiting for me. I thought I had found my forever home but they quickly returned me because they didn't realize how much work a puppy would be. I have been in foster care since before Christmas and very few people have inquired about me. My foster mama says its cause I am Black!! Can you believe that!?! She told me that black dogs are always harder to find homes for, but I don't know why anyone wouldn't want me cause I am just the best doggie ever!! I love people and other dogs too. I have never met a kitty cat but I heard they are pretty cool as well. I love to romp and play and I am full of puppy energy!! An active family would be best for me. I would love to find a forever home with siblings, 2 legged or 4 legged. Maybe a family that likes to go hiking and who will take me on adventures! I love to go exploring. At night after I have gotten a good run I love to lay on the couch with you and snuggle. They say that I am going to be a 60lb lap dog when I grow up. Whatever that means! I am working on my potty training and I barely ever have accidents. I am also crate trained and working on my manners. I love to jump up to say hello which is fine now while I am little, but when I am big the humans won't like it so much, so I am working on that most now. I know how to sit and am working on my leash manners too. I can't wait for the first snow. That powdery stuff looks like so much fun to play in! I am hoping to have found my forever home before then so that I can experience that with my family!! Although I have been enjoying foster care, and my foster mom is great, I would really like to find a home of my own soon! Can you help me with that?
