About Mia

Mia came to us from another family. They were unable to keep her and had to rehome her ASAP. She is supposedly utd on vaccinations, but we don't have proof. We tried to rehome her but she found her way back to us. We were going to keep her but she has recently become food aggressive towards our lab. Our lab instantly reacts to protecting me, kids, other animals. I have had my lab for over 5 years, my commitment has been to her first and foremost. Mia is great with cats, doesn't bother them or mind them stealing a few winks next to her or on her. She also doesn't mind puppies that lay down. She is very much an old soul and is content to just lay down on the couch, floor or even your neverending pile of dirty laundry. She will let you know when she wants your attention. She will sit on her back legs and have her front paws on you...if that doesn't get your attention, she will jump up on you, still not enough attention? She will smack you. She is not a playful dog, she just wants your love, cuddles and a nice warm bed. Mia is missing quite a few teeth, she recently broke off another canine and since then she has been losing her appetite and become food aggressive. I have tried giving her soft/moist food, but I have to sit and feed her by hand. If I or my husband do not feed her, she will guard her food. I will be taking her to the vet next week if money allows, right now money is quite scarce. I hope that the vet can help with her teeth. Perhaps that is what is causing her behavior, but I cannot risk her being hurt or my dog being locked up away from the family because they aren't getting along. Mia has the most beautiful baby blue eyes. She loves car rides and she is pretty good at listening. If you have any questions or are interested in meeting her, let me know.
