About Clyde

Adoption Fee: 325
Neapolitan Mastiff / Great Dane
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Clyde is located in Los Angeles, CA and we'd like to adopt locally as he does not do well in long car rides and based on his personality we believe would not fare well checked in cargo. Clyde and we believe to be his older sister Olive were pulled from East Valley shelter by the HIT Living Foundation as they both had terrible cherry eye and kept getting over looked. They were brought in as strays and had micro-chips where the owner never called back to claim them. They spent a month in Harbor shelter before they were transferred to East Valley. When we pulled them, they both had kennel cough and needed almost two weeks to recover. They had corrective cherry eye surgery. We are at this time however, accepting applications which can be found on our website, https://www.hitlivingfoundation.com/adoption-application/. The video is of Clyde learning how to play fetch from his GSD foster sister. During the tail end of his healing from kennel cough when he was starting to feel better, his personality truly started to push through. We found that Clyde is a curious, quick to learn, loving, attention needing, happy-go-lucky, gentle young man. He gets along well with his foster siblings (small terriers) and even got the basics of fetch down from his GSD foster sister. Clyde loves walks and is a very good walker. He walks right at your side and does not pull. He is completely non-reactive to other dogs on walks. Eating has become one of his favorite activities and he eats wonderfully along side his foster siblings with zero food aggression. He is potty trained and knows to go by the back door when he needs to go out. We're still working on basic commands such as sit and stay but he is catching on. Clyde also loves to nap and absolutely loves to cuddle. He is an incredible dog with a lot of love to give.
