[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Bubboo is a sweet cuddle bug, who desires to be the center of your affection. He is caring and attentive, and a little overly protective of his people - not bitey though. I have severe health issues, and if I even sigh he comes running to see if I am ok. Because Bubboo cares so much about protecting me he tends to bark at cars, people, and other animals passing by my home. I live in a rural area with a large fenced yard, and a pet door so Bubboo is used to being able to go in and out whenever he wants. Bubboo developed a seizure disorder shortly after I moved here about 3 yrs ago. I tried changing his diet to grain free and it seemed to help, but I could't afford the high cost of grain free dog food on a regular basis. I also cannot afford seizure medicine for him because of my own increasing health issues and being on disability. He needs a mature single person, or mature couple who can spend most of their time with him ... he does get left home some times and is okay with that as long as he has a safe yard to play, preferably with another small female dog, with shade and lots of water to drink, but will let you know how unhappy he was about being left alone when you get home because he worries about his people when they are gone. Bubboo is used to living with a female Chihuahua, and a female Rat Terrier. I had the Rat Terrier first so Bubboo took to her right away when I got him at 7 months old. The Chihuahua took him some time to warm up too though. He growled at her a lot, but never bit her ... it is just his way of communicating - he is very vocal. If I move him from a comfy spot he will grumble at me, but it is not agression just complaining. Bubboo is a lover, but will give his life to protect you if it were ever needed. He is a nervous dog, and has gotten worse as his seizures have gotten closure together and lasting longer. Sudden loud noise, and hyper children are not good situations for him and can set off a seizure. I find stress sets them off a lot. He needs a peaceful environment with caring people who will be loving a patient with him as he gets used to the new environment and their way of life. He does not like to be picked up, but will gladly get up beside you and lay on your lap for as long as you let him.lHe is great on car rides also, and will stay in his seat (or kennel). He is house trained, does not get into the garbage or up on tables. He does not try toteal food from my plate if I leave the room if I say mine sternly. He is fully potty trained, but since I rescued the Chihuahua female who refuses to go outside in wet or cold weather to potty Bubboo has been having issues with marking territory - he thinks because she gets away with pottying inside on training pads he should get too also (actually I think he is just putting his scent wherever hers is). I think he will stop once he is in a home alone or with other fully potty trained dogs again. He lets you know by sitting at the door and staring at you if he wants out. Bubbo also does well on a leash, but is fearful of other strange dogs. The ONLY reason I am seeking a new home for him is because of his need for medication and a special grain free diet that I cannot provide - I cannot bear to see him suffering any longer and have spoke with my vet about euthanasia, but she suggested posting on a rescue site first. He had a seizure last night and again today so they are getting much worse without medication and grain free food. Will someone please adopt my baby Bubboo?
