About Tweed

Tweed (nicknames Tweedy and Tweedy-Bo-Beedy) is a beautiful 25 lbs, 9 month old black and white border collie mix. She is spayed, microchipped, UTD on shots, and is on monthly flea and heart worm preventatives. As for shedding, she is short haired and does tend to shed some when the weather changes. She gets a combed very often and she also gets a bath often to help. She is the sweetest gal and loves everyone she meets��%BD%9D%A4. Sometimes she can be a little shy, but she has never shown aggression. There is not a mean bone in her body. As soon as she warms up to you, she will melt you like butter. She's an absolute doll. She is potty and crate trained and knows basic commands like sit and lay. We have also learned to respect boundaries and must sit patiently before doors are opened. Tweed will also look directly at you with a food bowl in front of her until you give her the 'okay' to eat. She tends to think that this is a game. We have staring contests to see how long she can wait! She also can walk on a leash with a harness. In her spare time, she loves to play with her foster sister and her squeaky dinosaur. She loves to hop and bounce around outside to play as well. She does tend to get a little over zealous so she would be best in a home with older, pet-savvy children. We are working on being mouthy (she's being playful, not aggressive). She is also dog and cat approved but can get a little excited and rowdy. She would need puppy-savvy brothers and sisters��%BD��%BD��%BDS. She would love a family that takes her on walks and gets her the best sqeaky toys - current favorite is her purple dino��%BD��%BD|��%BD. When she's not playing, she enjoys chest scratchings and belly rubs. She can be quite the cuddle bug. She likes to come up and ask to be loved on, too. She loves to walk up to you sitting and lay her head in your lap. In the evening, she will usually snuggle in bed for a couple of hours before being put to bed in her crate.
