About Storm

Adoption Fee: $100
Border Collie / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Storm Storm is a beautiful black lab retriever/collie mix that desperately wants out of the kennel environment. As a tiny puppy Storm was dumped in a neighborhood. For several months, neighbors fed and cared for Storm, but no one officially adopted him as they hoped his owner would show up. For months this went on, but as cold weather approached, the neighbors couldn't afford to care for Storm and decided he needed to be 'turned in.' He was surrendered to Animal Control on December 10, 2018 and came to the protection of our shelter shortly thereafter. At nine months of age, Storm is a young male dog. He's super friendly, eager to please and walks well on a leash. He's of medium size, but may continue to grow just a bit. He's absolutely stunning with his long flowing and luxurious fur coat and his inquisitive eyes. For a young energetic pup that's used to wandering around, the confines of a kennel are taking a toll on him. He longs to be out with people, feeling the fresh air on his face and the grass under his paws. Storm has been around other dogs and cats and seems to do well. He'll need a confinement fence at the time of his adoption. His proclivity to wander is strong and until he builds up trust with his new family we expect he'd wander off at will. Not because he doesn't want to stay, he's just never known what a stable home environment is like. Given how young he is and how well the neighbors treated him, Storm's personality is remarkably even keel and confident. He's a solid dog that would make for a good family companion. Storm will be neutered and made current on vaccinations before going home. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee.
