About Heidi

Wonderful dog. I am in a unique situation. My home is being sold and I am going to a Lyme disease treatment center for 4 months. I cannot take her w me. I am devastated. She has sebaceous cysts on her that the vet said do not hurt her and I am on disability and in no position to have them removed. She is not ready to be put down. I can't do it. I am searching for a foster or rescue to find her a home or I would be willing to pay a small fee including her expenses for her to stay somewhere till I get out of treatment and find a place to rent. I don't want to lose her but I am not doing well and feel that if I do not get help soon I will not live much longer. So if anyone can help me and Heidi I would be elated. I understand not many rescues will let u have ur dog back but this is a unique situation. I cannot afford over $3,000 to board her. I have no home to have a babysitter come and I cannot take her to a hotel where I will be staying for 4 months. No family is able to keep her. I just don't know what to do. She is a wonderful caring compassionate sweet loving dog who doesn't deserve to be put down. I would be fine having someone adopt her although I would prefer to have her back I know that is not the policy of rescues. I would pay $150 a month plus food to have someone keep her for me but I cannot afford more. And that is not much. I don't really have that. I am in a bad situation. And so is Heidi. I would never get rid of my dog. I have always adopted older shepherds giving them homes for life. Now I am in this position and I am ashamed. Please see if u can help me.
