About Blaze

LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY - Meet Blaze, a 3 1/2 month old Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix that weighs about 8 pounds. Blaze and her sister, Beanie, who is also up for adoption, have plenty of energy and love to play with each other - they don't hold back! Blaze does not yet play with the other dogs in her foster home and it took her a while to get used to the cats but boy does she love them now! Almost like she'd rather play with them than the other dogs! She enjoys typical puppy things like chewing and dragging things into the middle of the room. She and Beanie have been known to grab a slipper or two, so watch out! Blaze is happy to see her foster mom when comes home but when she gets picked up and petted, she looks a little unsure. It is likely she is not used to being loved on by a human. She is getting more comfortable with the attention. We believe she will do will with adults and children once comfortable with her surroundings. Blaze is currently being trained to use puppy pads and is successful about 50% of the time. With a little time and patience, she will understand the whole housetraining thing. Blaze has had her first round of boosters and is microchipped. Any remaining shots as well as her spay, when she is old enough, are included in her adoption fee provided they are done by our vet.
