About Doug (east)

DOUG - A4167016 My name is DOUG. I am a neutered male, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 2 months old, and I have been at the shelter since Dec 13, 2018. Doug is a very sweet guy who is a little overwhelming for some folks. He pulls some on the leash, and does best with a no-pull harness. He was adopted for about a month, but because of his over-exuberance, and mouthy nature, his adopter brought him back saying his kids were too nervous around Doug. Apparently, he was fed OK, because now Doug really needs to go on a diet. We have no doubt that Doug could take that extra weight off if he were adopted by someone who really would allow to exercise his energy more. It's a shame that he was brought back, because that puts a lot of pressure on any dog to get adopted sooner, or he may go on the euthanasia list much sooner. Hopefully, this exuberant little guy will find a home soon. What a waste to let such a diamond-in-the-rough be lost to the world.
