About Darbie

Darbie Sue is truly a southern lady: gentle, demur and oh, so pretty!�%A0This two year old beauty found her way to WAAAG when a special and devoted friend at another shelter where Darbie had been abandoned, recognized the unique sweetness of this girl and did everything in her power to save her. Her foray into the woods on a stormy night convinced her that the spa life is really what she prefers. Darbie enjoys room service, gentle walks with a friend who leads the way, ball games with friends, massages and sweet talk from everyone she meets. Darbie likes to go visit her friends in their kennels every morning. She loves a robust game of chase around her yard with her buddy Patches on the other side of the fence. Then if life gets too tiring, Darbie says, with a paw on her forehead and like Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind, 'ah think ah'd better lie down'. Darbie has been exposed to cats and has not shown any interest. She looks to other dogs for confidence and would probably do the same with a family cat. She is very kind and gentle in nature. She has never shown any aggression or even growled at anything or anyone and she is learning to trust that humans won't hurt her. Darbie Sue would do best in a quiet, peaceful, understanding and loving home to help her continue to come out of her shell.
