JEREMIAH - A4181386 My name is JEREMIAH. I am a neutered male, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 7 months old, and I have been at the shelter since Dec 12, 2018. It is recommended that if no one steps up and gets him out of the shelter ASAP, he is to be humanely euthanized. He is so confused as to why he can't leave this place. It was noted that he had a limp on right hind leg. X-ray shows fractured and luxating patella. Without the needed follow up, this dog is at a high risk for being in chronic pain and developing degenerative joint disease in the affected joint. Veterinarian thinks it is chronic. Unable to assess how he is with other dogs due to medical. He is very sweet and shy. Had no issue leashing him and will gently take treats. Jeremiah does bear some weight on hind right leg. If adopted, he should see the family vet to deteremine if orthopedist can surgically correct the leg. It will take someone with a big heart to give this sweet boy a chance at a pleasant life.
