About Malcolm

Malcolm is a 3 year old male German Shepherd who was found as a stray in California and ended up at Downey Shelter for almost 2 months before we pulled him. He became very stressed in the shelter and ended up chewing on his already short tail, causing it to need further amputation. He now has a very cute little stub tail, and a clean bill of health! Malcolm is an all-around sweetheart. He loves to lean in for pets and hugs, and has started to really enjoy playing ball and tug. He's treat-motivated and picking up commands quickly, although he likely had no training in his prior life. No cats for Malcolm, and we'd prefer a home with no small children. He can be a little nervous and uncertain in new situations, so toddlers may be too much for him. He does well with other dogs with proper introduction, preferring dogs that are pretty relaxed like him. Malcolm's adoption fee is $350.
