About Tessa

Tessa is a beautiful one year old Havanese/shitzu mix. We rescued her in terrible shape almost six months ago off the streets of LA, where she was skinny, dirty and starving. Her owner had died and the family kicked her out onto the streets. In the months since we have had Tessa, who is in a wonderful foster home, she has thrived. She can be shy at first but warms up once she feels safe. She is gentle and loving and not at all aggressive. We had wanted to place her with her best friend, Lucy, but it is proving to be difficult to find a home for them together, however, it is still our first choice for Tessa. We are looking for a CALM, non-chaotic home where owners can focus and spend time and can give attention to Tessa. Active owners would be a plus. We will NOT place her as an only dog, so please do not contact us if you do not have another dog or are not willing to adopt her with either Lucy or her friend Fiona. Also want an owner who is not gone 8 hours a day. A house with a yard is preferable for this very active dog. Tessa is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. WE ONY PLACE DOGS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AS A HOME CHECK AND TWO WEEK TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED
