About Summer

My name is Jessica and I adopted a sweet chihuahua mix that I've named Summer in May last year (2018) from the Irving Animal Shelter. She turned a year old in November. She is sweet, smart, affectionate, playful, and she's really grown on me, so this is hard for me to ask. Summer is also very skittish around other people. I've put her in a board-and-train for a month, which helped. I also put her in doggy daycare every day while I'm at work for a few months, and I think its making a difference. The daycare is not really in my budget but I work long hours, so I can't just leave her in her crate for 10 hours. She's been doing better at being left out while I'm at work, but since she's a puppy I hate making her hold it so long. I also think she would do better in a home with less visitors. I'd really like to find a home for her with someone patient and kind. She does fine with other dogs, but takes a long time to warm up to people. We are in the Dallas/Ftw, Texas area. She weighs about 14lbs. Please reach out if you're patient and would like to adopt my sweet girl.
