Full-blooded Redbone Coonhound purchased from a NC breeder as a puppy two years ago (DOB 10/1/16). No food aggression whatsoever and is great with other dogs (but not cats). He's a sweet dog with a good temperament- medium size- he's solid, about 65-70 lbs. Our issues are- we live in the city in a neighborhood with houses on top of each other, we have two high school kids who are busy and we work all day. He does do well alone during day and sleep most of the time while we're gone. When we got him, we thought he would settle into being a 'lazy hound dog', but he really needs more attention than we are able to give him at this time. He loves going to the dog park and doggie daycare. He would do best in a home with another dog as a companion/playmate where he is walked daily or has access to run around & play outside. He loves to hunt & chase squirrels in our backyard (don't know how he'd do hunting for real). He's house-broken, crate-trained & knows basic commands. Great watchdog. Ideally needs a large fenced in yard (or a large piece of land in the country) to run around with a family that can give him proper time & attention. Please note, he is a house dog and we will not place him anywhere that he will be tied up or permenantly kept outside. He's microchipped and UTD on all vaccinations- we can provide vet records. We have a 3 months supply of heartworm medicine as well. Asking a $75 Adoption fee for serious inquiries(to be donated to RescueMe).
