About Akino

My mom is 88 years old and we had to move her to long term care facility. As a result, I'm trying to find a new home for her 5 year old male Akita, Akino. He had an accident 4 years ago wherein Akino bit a boy. Because of that, Florida officials designated Akino as a 'dangerous dog'. Akino is very mild tempered and has a calm demeanor. He loves chasing Frisbees and will bring his toys to you, asking to play. Akino is one of the smartest dogs I have ever known and learns commands quickly. Unfortunately, I travel a lot and my sister has 3 pets already. So, we are looking for another loving home for him. We desperately don't want to put him to sleep. However, because of the official designation, we may have no other choice. Please help us. He would be best in a quieter home with adults.
