About Kimberly

Kimberly has grown into a lovely young cat. Kimberly arrived at our shelter when she was just two weeks old last May 2018! She had no mother to nurse her, but lucky for Kimberly one of our other cats took her in and nursed her to health. She's now 1.5 years old. Poor Kimberly is continually overlooked by adopters. We have no idea why! Kimberly is a wonderful cat. She loves people and she's good with other cats. Kimberly is the first to welcome you to the cat room. She runs over for a snuggle and her soft purr is so soothing. She easily settles into your lap for a good nap. What could be better than that on a cold winter's night? Kimberly is as sweet as can be and she's so pretty. Kimberly is a volunteer favorite, but she has yet to attract a family of her own. Part of Kimberly's adoption fee has been sponsored in the hope that we can find her her forever loving home. If you're looking for a wonderful, sweet, calm and social cat to welcome to your family, come meet our Kimberly. Kimberly is spayed, fully vetted and micro-chipped. If you can offer a safe indoor home to our cat/kitten, submit an application online or at the shelter after a get acquainted visit. If you don't receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
