About Sahara

Have you ever wanted to rescue a Chausie? Well, here could be your chance. Sahara was rescued from a breeder and brought to the sanctuary where she is provided with proper nutrition, has been spayed and was updated on her vaccinations. Did you know that the Chausie breed originated in Egypt? Breed characteristics show these cats to be good with everyone and that they have a tendency to be very affectionate towards people. Sahara is definitely a very loving and pretty little feline. The Chausie breed doesn't have as many known illnesses and conditions as other cats and is deemed best for owners who do not want to worry about long-term medical costs. Now that doesn't mean that she shouldn't be provided with an annual well-kitty checkup. The breed is described as affectionate, intelligent, playful and social. We are sure that once she gets to be in her new home, all of those characteristics will evolve in time. When Sahara was rescued, she was in a cage with her super unique boyfriend Safari, an engaging and confident Junglebob. Since they have lived together, preference will be given to adopters who are interested in a bonded pair of very unique and special cats.
