About Scarlett

Pit Bull mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Scarlett! 2 year old Pit Mix After two litters of puppies this year Scarlett has decided she just wants to relax! Napping on the couch is one of her favorite things to do. She loves being around her people and is the sweetest girl. She is a little shy but warms up quickly. She is housebroken, and crate trained (though sometimes she needs convincing to go in) She's been working on walking on leash but when she's had enough she just stops and lays down. She does not like car rides (they make her nervous) but she still does ok despite that. Scarlett is great with kids (currently lives with and naps with a 4 year old) and doesn't bark at other dogs when she's outside. She does bark at them when she's inside though. She could spend all day outside! She loves playing with other dogs and running around! Scarlett would do great with a fenced in yard (she won't run away but may try to wander and then lay down and refuse to come back in) She does not like loud noises (especially yelling) and gets nervous with new things or when she thinks she's in trouble. Scarlett is very food motivated and super smart! She is a fast learner and loves to please! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
