About Maui

Maui is an extremely social, silly, lovable, one year old mutt! He was adopted from Tulsa Animal Welfare and then when it didn't work out, we took him in at Tulsa SPCA to prevent him from going back to a kill shelter. Maui was said to be too much for an apartment but even though he is often very playful, he does calm down quite nicely and enjoys resting at your feet or on your lap. Maui is a smart kid and loves making his people happy! He will do just about anything for praise or a treat so training him should be a breeze. Maui is probably a Shepherd mix and will need some form of exercise every day to remain happy in a home but we do believe he would do well in an apartment as long as he is played with and worked with regularly. Maui doesn't seem dog reactive or aggressive here and approved adopters are more than welcome to bring current dogs for a friendship test. We also have an on-staff trainer dedicated to making sure our dogs and their new families have an easy time transitioning. Maui is one year old, weighs 45lbs, and has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm tested (negative), and is current on parasite prevention.
