About Toro

Toro is a very playful young pup who has had a hard life. After being a stray for 5 months, he was picked up and in an overcrowded shelter for 9 more months before i adopted him. He has been trained well and knows many commands. He has lived with a puppy, an adult unneutered dog, and an old terrier dog that he has gotten along with fine! Occasionally there will be a dog we encounter which he doesn't like and will let them know. He was attacked by a dog in the shelter and he is covered in scars because of it. He can show aggression to other dogs, but has never actively attacked one. Many other dogs do not like him because, since he was attacked, he is very afraid of many other dogs and tries to appear dominant towards them, in which case some other dogs will react with aggression in return. He was likely abused by men because he is fearful of them, but has never bitten, or attacked anyone. Once the man pets him and shows him that he is friendly Toro will love him forever. He has lived with 2 men who frequently had their male friends over and toro just barks, but never acts on it. He is potty trained and loves the water. He does excellent in public and is a good guard dog, and alerts when something ' fishy' is going on outside. He is the biggest cuddled I've ever met and will crawl into your lap any time you are in bed or near the ground. He gives great kisses and loves his owner dearly, and i love him. I am sadly joining the military and my parents were going to keep him, but my father has recently turned into some medical problems and can no longer help with his exercising, which he needs desperately. Please help me find him a good home with a loving family and a dog he can play with!
