History- Wyatt was picked up as a stray running at large. He was showing aggression at the shelter he was in. Of course he was severely matted and had not been neutered so we think that had something to do with the issues he was having. Anyhow he was scheduled for euthanasia but one of the employees just saw something in him - maybe it was the fear so he contacted us to see if by some chance we could take him. One of our founders went over and filmed him in the kennel as she tried to get him on a lead. he was scared- just so scared so we said ok. He came to us the following week and we took him to the groomer to be shaved down. He did great! He has proven to be a cuddle bug just has never learned boundaries or control- so he throws temper tantrums and acts out when corrected. His adopter would do best by hiring a trainer immediately to help with these little issues. Overall he is now under control and doing really well but could use some work and then he would be an amazing dog. He does have a few cat like behaviors and loves, loves, loves attention and love and playing- he is somewhat of a needy boy- you can see some videos of him on Facebook. Temperament- Very playful, sweet, and so, so loving. But does have his moments of talking back so should go to training classes. Energy Level- Mid level energy. Loves to cuddle more than anything else. He just craves attention and to be close to the person/people he loves so much. Dogs/Cats- He has met both cats and dogs. He is good with both and loves to play with the other dogs until we go out there with them and then he just wants to be close to us. Housetrained- He is using a dog door and is also crate trained People/Kids- He has been good with everyone he has met. He went to the pet store and the groomer and did great at both places. He has met my 7 year old grand daughter and did wonderful and loves the attention. Wyatt is so sweet and loving. He would love more than anything else to have a family all his own who will love him forever and include him as a family member. He is a great boy and would make a wonderful addition to any family wanting a sweet, very smart boy to love. Adoption fee $250 includes neuter, age appropriate vaccinations (4 for puppies), deworming, microchip, rabies, collar and leash, training information, and all the support you need.
