About Jeremy

Urgent home or foster needed!! I must leave town on short notice (Monday!) and my father has had a stroke and my parents cannot care for him. Jeremy was pulled from (adopted out of) the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter after being taken there emaciated and heart worm positive by animal control. He has successfully finished his heartworm treatment and the confinement period and needs a loving home. He loves all people and animals (he'll lick their ears if they let him). He loves to give hugs (standing on his hind legs with his front legs wrapped around your waist). He's 65 pounds and estimated to be approximately 7 years old, based on his teeth. He needs to be homed with someone who is there at all times, and/or needs a canine or feline companion (he's a bit needy for attention, still). He is a calm and wonderfully sweet dog, and everyone who meets him comments on how sweet and well-mannered he is. He walks well on a leash and knows sit, shake, wait, and walk, and is very attentive. He will do anything for a Rachael Ray Meatloaf Morsel! He's on a grain free beef diet, as he burps a lot more than normal when fed chicken (but otherwise ok with it). He's been microchipped. He is thought to be purebred, a reverse brindle (the stripes are visible when he's in bright sunlight), but may be a mix (he is mostly black). He's such a good boy!
