About Mimi

Meet Mimi! She is an approximately 10 year old poodle-cocker spaniel mix. She has been with us for about 7 weeks and is now ready for adoption. Mimi was transferred from a shelter. She was adopted out by them once and sadly returned due to biting the child in the family. We were told the bite happened when the child grabbed her by the collar to get her inside the home. Our understanding is the bite was not major, but more like a warning. Still, Mimi now has a bite strike. In the past 7 weeks we have worked with Mimi, and have evaluated her behavior and needs. She has been nothing but amazing. She has done great with every dog and person she meets. She does not mind cats either. She is not much of a playful dog. However, she does interact with the other dogs and enjoys running with them. She is fully vetted, crate and house trained, enjoys car rides, and long walks with the pack. She loves to snuggle next to her people but is not a overly needy dog. Mimi has been around children while under our care as young as 3 yrs of age and done very well. However, it is best she goes to a home with older either no children, or older children. Mimi is well mannered and loves to follow her person around the home. She has been recently fully groomed and did very well with 0 issues being handled or touched. Mimi requires regular grooming. She requires a fenced in yard and a home with at least another dog for company. Mimi is a very sweet, patient pup in need of a loving home.
