About Carter

Carter is 3 year old flat coated retriever mix who came to us from a kill shelter in Georgia. He weighs about 50lbs. He would do best in a house with no other animals as he is completely not socialized, adopter does have the option of training. He is good with all people and children (older, respectful children as he gets nervous easily). He is crate trained and fully house trained. He was scared to death when he first came to me but is slowly warming up. He needs someone patient and understanding willing to work with him. He is very sweet, will gently take food from your hand, and even gives little finger kisses. If you would be interested in meeting him please contact us. His adoption fee is $200 Update: sweet Carter has really come out of his shell! He is so loving and sweet! He loves being pet, will give you his paw to continue petting him. He is learning what life is all about. He finally realizes a dog toy is for him, not something scary. He has done great meeting new people, still a little skittish with new things. He is an amazing dog. Someone will be very lucky to have him.
