Penny came into our lives as a rescue. We found her dumped on some property with a bad infection, malnourished and in bad shape. We rehabbed her, vetted her, spayed her and have cared for her for several months. She is a hound/shepherd mix. She is high energy, a chewer, and although she is great with us (females), and great with our 9 year old son she is often territorial. She is good with our 3 dogs (lab, chihuahua mix and poodle) but she is not always good with others dogs. We believe she was abused before us as she submissive urinates and is hyper vigilant. She barks, can growl at the mailman, at other dogs and she has made it more and more difficult for us to have people over. She needs a farm, tons of running land and someone who actually knows how to facilitate a good environment for her breed.
