About Savi (& Simba)

Meet the adorable Simba and Savi! They are approximately 3 month old male and female possible Pom/Pekingese mixes but we can't be sure. They were pulled from a shelter in Oklahoma and came into our rescue. Upon meeting them, we could tell Simba was very unstable at times. He would try and walk and stagger and tip over. After two opinions, he was diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which is when the area of the brain that controls stability has not fully developed. He is not in pain, and it does not happen all the time, but when it does his sister Savi comforts him and calms him. This is not a life threatening issue and should not get worse (but there is never a 100% guarantee), it just means he will have times where he wobbles, struggles to walk, and has tremors. He will need to be watched on beds, couches, stairs as he could fall. Otherwise, he is a happy, smart, energetic, adorable puppy! We have him on CBD oil which appears to help him with this. His sister Savi gets very upset when he goes to the vet without her and will cry, and therefore they need to be adopted together. Both are smart, funny pups and love to be loved on. They are crate trained, working on potty training, had two sets of shots, wormed and microchipped. There will be a spay/neuter agreement upon adoption with a deposit. They need a home that is committed to them and especially able to provide any care Simba might need.
