About Foreman

Adoption Fee: $175
Golden Retriever / Collie
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Howdy folks, the name is Foreman and I'm here to help you build your dream family complete with doggo companion. If you're looking to add that cuddly canine addition to your home, you've come to the right place. I was found as a stray on a construction site in rural West Virginia and boy, let me tell you, I was in rough shape. One of the construction workers posted me on Facebook and asked for help with rescue. One scary ride in a big truck down a steep hill later, I found myself in a foster home and now I'm out here, just waiting for you to put a bid in on me. I'm around 7-8 years old and in spite of how large my fluffy fur makes me look, I only weigh around 40 lbs. I walk well on leash and I've done well gated off in my foster home. My foster thinks I am house trained, but I will definitely need regular walks to maintain this in my forever home. I prefer female dogs to male dogs and I have not been cat-tested yet, but my foster thinks I'd probably be alright around them. Great news is, I do well around human kiddos so if you're looking for a playmate for them, you're in luck. When I'm not working on a construction site, I enjoy cuddling on the couch and playing with tennis balls and toys. If you're looking for a big fluffy family dog just in time for the holidays, you are looking for me, Foreman! Please come visit me at the Waynesboro Petsmart on Saturdays between 10 AM and 2 PM. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. For more information and to apply to adopt, please visit www.augustadogadoptions.org If you google our address, you will be directed to Richmond. That is NOT our adoption event location. If you have questions, please message us on Facebook.
