Date into Rescue: 7/18/18 Reason for being in rescue: Tawny was surrendered to a shelter in NC by her breeder. CPR pulled her from a local shelter. Special Needs: none noted What kind of home would be best for me: Tanya Tucker will enjoy home that will offer her toys and treats and attention! She would do best in a quiet home where there is another dog for her to play with. What is my personality like: I'm Tawny (aka Tanya Tucker). I am believed to be a 9 year old Shih Tzu mix. I am timid and shy, please be patient with me. I enjoy playing with the male chihuahua next door and investigating my yard. I don't do well on a leash and will back away if I see you approach with one. But I am working on learning! I get along with the other dogs and cats in my foster home. I am ready for my own home now! How do I act when I first meet new people: Timid and shy but give me time. Tips and Tidbits: I spent the majority of my life giving the world precious puppies, now it's my time to shine! House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
