About Augie

Augie is a gentle, playful, loving and tailwaggingly sweet, one-year-old, 49-pound, male, fawn Terrier, with eyes the color of sea glass, looking for a loving guardian. Augie was a surburban Chicago stray who was never claimed at animal control. He's wonderful with people and surprisingly trusting even though the tops of his ears appear to be cut off unevenly with scissors. Augie is good on leash, good with other dogs, and quiet in the home. He is not a big barker. He's a bit bow-legged and flat-footed, perhaps from being crated too much during his puppyhood. He loves to play ball and knows the command sit. He takes treats ever so gently from your fingers. Augie appears to be housebroken and crate-trained, healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative.
